Circet has built one of the tallest pylons in Brittany for Radio Bonheur.
Radio Bonheur broadcasts French songs from the 1950s, 60s, 70s and 80s in the French Côtes d'Armor region. With its three transmitters, this independent radio station - the number 2 in the region - covers more than 80% of the local population.
In 2014, Radio Bonheur decided to have its own pylon erected for its Guingamp transmitter, the one that covers inland area in the west of the region. It wanted to free itself from the constraints of not owning the highest point, while making installation and maintenance operations far easier. With its own pylon, designed and erected by our team in Nantes early in the summer of 2014, the local radio station is now fully independent. A plus! It now has the option of broadcasting to other regions.
The Project
The project was delivered in record time: six weeks and not a day longer. Design, construction of the pylon, construction of its base with 90 cubic meters of cast concrete… the 85-meter-high pylon was completed in July 2014 by our team in Nantes, in Northwest France.
We had this pylon erected because we wanted not to be dependent on another owner for our ongoing maintenance. We chose Circet because, for an equivalent cost, they offered a design that we liked best. And we are by and large satisfied with the result, which was achieved on time.
